A cute tale of a little T-rex named Penelope who is about to start school. To her surprise, she isn't going to school with dinosaurs but with CHILDREN! The classroom is filled with different ethnic students, even showing a student in a hijab and a yamaka.  On the first day, Penelope eats her class, but spits them out, she learns its not a great way to make friends. The illustrations in this book are excellent, Higgins shows the contrast from a sad dinosaur to a happy dinosaur in a pleasant manner. *no children were eaten entirely in this book.*

On the first endpage, we see a little red-haired girl who we later find out is named Mia, Mia is counting and jumping through puddles calling out to her sister. In typical little sister fashion, Mia follows her sister Lucy EVERYWHERE! Lucy feels as if her little sister is an annoying little monster and tells her to get lost. When her wish comes true, and real monsters want to keep Mia, Lucy gets monstrous too! With vivid colors spreading from each corner of the book, Fotheringham really showcases the love and nuisance of having a younger sibling. Through Rosenbaum's dialogue, the reader is shown how grateful they should be to having a younger sibling. Highly recommended for older siblings who need to be gently reminded that, it's not always so bad having a little sibling.
