The simple message promotes a positive message that brown is everywhere. This book has a mix of watercolored photos of her family, friends and herself as a child, it also includes her juvenile illustrations. Everything in the book is brown based, from the font to the picture backgrounds. Lamperti embrace the color brown, creating a powerful message that brown is strong!

In typical little sister fashion, Mia follows her sister Lucy EVERYWHERE! Lucy feels as if her little sister is an annoying little monster and tells her to get lost. When her wish comes true, and real monsters want to keep Mia, Lucy gets monstrous too! With vivid colors spreading from each corner of the book, Fotheringham really showcases the love and nuisance of having a younger sibling. Through Rosenbaum's dialogue, the reader is shown how grateful they should be to having a younger sibling. Highly recommended for older siblings who need to be gently reminded that, it's not always so bad having a little sibling.
