Rotner, Shelley. Lots of Feelings. Millbrook Press. 22p. 2003. ISBN 0761328963.
Ages (1 and Up) A great educational tool to teach and normalize human emotions. Each page shows multiple children expressing a simple feeling such as love, anger, sadness, shyness etc. The children are different ages, different ethnicities and races. Through the simple text we can show children it is okay to have feelings and that other children experience these feelings too. It is also an opportunity to expose them to new words, the bookends are covered in a multitude of feeling words that children may not have heard before such as zestful, vulnerable, rambunctious, etc. Ending the book with a question about feelings allows the child to open up and speak about their current emotional state.
